TABLE 6. Changes to major lunar features: Young large basin stage

1. Additional redistribution of upper crustal material as ejecta and debris flows . a. Impact melt and debris flow units constituted significant surface units in and around all large basins.

2. Additional regional thinning and thickening, as well as unloading and loading, of the crust.

3. Additional fracturing of the lower crust beneath each basin; however, such fracturing apparently did not significantly aflect the strength of the crust, established during the preceding stage.

4. Creation of uncompensated positive gravity anomalies under young impact basins and negative anomalies under their rims.
